Troubleshooting

Sync and sign-in issues

  • Confirm you're signed in: open Grocer Settings and check the account section.
  • Pull to refresh after reconnecting to the network.
  • If sign-in fails, try signing out and back in with Apple or Google.
  • If a shared list isn't appearing, ask the owner to resend the invite link.

Smart Scan issues

  • Confirm camera or photo library access is allowed in iPhone Settings.
  • Use a clear, well-lit photo and avoid heavy shadows or glare.
  • Review detected items before adding them to a list — Smart Scan isn't perfect.
  • If you hit the weekly Smart Scan limit, the app will fall back to a lighter mode until the window resets.
