These Terms of Use explain the rules for using the Grocer app and its related support, privacy, and help pages. By using Grocer, you agree to these terms.

Grocer is a personal grocery-list app provided as-is. You are responsible for the content you add, import, export, or share through the app.

Using Grocer

Personal and lawful use

You may use Grocer to create, edit, import, export, and share grocery lists for lawful personal, family, or household purposes. You may not use the app in a way that harms the service, interferes with Apple platform services, or violates applicable law.

Your content

You are responsible for the grocery lists, notes, photos, and other content you place into Grocer. Only import, store, or share content that you have the right to use and that you are comfortable keeping on your device or in your iCloud account.

Accounts, Cloud, and Sharing

No separate Grocer account Grocer does not create a standalone account system. Some features rely on your Apple ID and Apple's iCloud or CloudKit services.
Apple services Shared lists and related cloud features depend on Apple's services. Your use of those services is subject to Apple's own terms, policies, and availability.
Collaborators If you invite other people to a list or shared workspace, you are responsible for the collaborators you add and the content you choose to share with them.
Offline and hosted features Grocer is designed to work locally on your device, but some features such as sharing, cloud sync, and hosted help pages depend on network access and third-party platform availability.

Restrictions

Do not misuse the app

  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, abuse, or disrupt Grocer or related services.
  • Do not use Grocer to store, transmit, or share unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.
  • Do not use automated or abusive behavior that interferes with normal app operation.

Feature limits

  • Import results may not always be perfect and should be reviewed before use.
  • Cloud features may be unavailable if Apple services, iCloud access, or connectivity are unavailable.
  • If you do not agree to these terms, stop using Grocer.

Warranty and Liability

No warranty

  • Grocer is provided on an as-is and as-available basis.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or perfect import accuracy.
  • You are responsible for keeping any backups you consider necessary.

Liability limits

  • To the maximum extent allowed by law, Grocer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • This includes loss of data, sharing mistakes, service interruptions, or issues caused by third-party platform outages.
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
